Venice, the italian city of love and romance, nowonder more and more people are looking for cheap flights to Venice. With the alure of romantic trips along the water ways in a gondola and the oarsman singing ‘Your on Cornetto , give it to me……’ ok maybe not! But I am sure that is something that you have all thought about at one point of another!
Venice is now the destination of several bidget airlines meaning that they are all competing for your business and as a result airfare prices are at a all time low. This means your flights to Venice will not break the bank and that romantic weekend away is accessable to everyone no matter what your budget.
To ensure you get the best price available, it is best to plan and book your flights well in advance of the dates you may wish to travel. If you leave it too late to book your flights to Venice you may strugle to find availability or the price will not be what you expected. It is common practice for airlines to increase the cost of flights as the aircraft fills and the date of depature draws nearer.
Many people are still in the mind set of ‘Last Minute Deals’, well in reality these are a thing of the past when looking at flights only. There are always people waiting at the airport to try and get on an earlier flight. Therefore rather then sell a seat too cheap, the airline would prefer to bring forward waiting passengers with gives them longer to resell the seat from another flight to Venice at a higher price. However that said, good last minute deals can still be had from travel agents and tour operators for package holidays, as these operate differently to flights only.
Tour operators work by prebooking hotels and flights, then packaging them up into a set deal. Now as they have already commited to the hotelier and airlines to fill these spaces, they are required to pay for them even if they dont fill them. For that reason it is possible that if the Tour operator has not fulfilled its vacancies within a few days of travel, then they are more will to offer mayor discounts just to get ‘bums on seats’ and alliviate any potential loss that may occur by notselling out on any specific package holiday.
